Implementing Partner The project is implemented by a consortium led by the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), in partnership with the Royal Tropical Institute of the Netherlands (KIT), the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), and the Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA).

Intervention areas 8 regions in Mali (Segou, Sikasso, Bougouni, Koulikoro, Kita, Dioïla, Koutiala, San) and 5 regions in Niger (Niamey, Agadez, Dosso, Tillabery, Tahoua)
Project overview Support for the dissemination of quality seeds was provided to 15 PHTCs* across 8 regions in Mali and 5 regions in Niger. The project strengthened the capacity of local seed producers, including private seed companies and cooperatives, through technical assistance and support for business development.
To promote the use of quality seeds and increase production surplus among smallholder farmers, awareness-raising activities were conducted through demonstration plots, seed fairs, media, and the distribution of seed kits.
