SAA, AfDB Presidents excited at prospects of collaborative work in Benin, Ethiopia and Nigeria
On April 25, 2023, SAA President Kitanaka paid a courtesy call to African Development Bank (AfDB) President Dr. Akinwumi Adesina during his brief visit of Japan. Dr. Beth Dunford, the AfDB’s Vice President for Agriculture, Human and Social Development was also in attendance.

African Seed Trade Association - AFSTA is an organization that works to promote seed trade and entrepreneurship in Africa. The AFSTA 2023 Congress was held in Senegal -Dakar at King Fahd Palace Hotel from 06 – 08 March 2023, attracting over 280 participants in Africa and beyond.

SAA at the Reception to celebrate the Birthday of the Japanese Emperor in Ethiopia
The Embassy of Japan in Ethiopia and the Mission of Japan to the African Union hosted the reception to celebrate the 63rd birthday of His Majesty the Emperor on 22 February 2023 at the Ambassador’s Residence in Addis Ababa. SAA-Mali organized the Annual Stakeholder Meeting 2023
SAA-Mali organized its Annual Stakeholders’ Workshop from Feb 28 to March 1, 2023, under the theme "Entrepreneurship in agricultural value chains: opportunities, challenges and prospects in the context of Mali". About 60 agricultural value chain actors and partners from the government, private sector, research and educational institutions as well as NGOs attended the forum.
